Haozhe Shan

ARNI Postdoctorate Research Scientist

My name is Haozhe Shan and I recently completed my Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Harvard under the mentorship of Haim Sompolinsky. My research leverages quantitative tools from physics, statistics and other fields to discover computational principles behind neural systems, both biological and artificial. I aim to develop theoretical insights that help interpret complex experimental observations in neuroscience and understand AI models behind recent advances. I am particularly excited about studying how the brain solves problems that remain challenging for AI using biologically realistic mechanisms.
